Dongguan brand Donble Mattress: For 30 years, we’ve focused on just one thing.

Do you remember what old mattresses from the 1970s were like? Back then, most households used wooden plank beds, simply laying down straw or cotton padding as makeshift "mattresses." These basic mattresses would become stiff after a while, but at the time, people didn’t have particularly high expectations for mattress comfort.

Mattresses truly began to enter ordinary households after the 1990s. As China’s reform and opening-up policies deepened, people’s living standards steadily improved, leading to the rapid emergence of numerous domestically owned mattress companies—many of which sprang up like mushrooms after a rain. Donble Mattress, for instance, was founded in 1993 in Dongguan, Guangdong.

Back then, Donble Mattress produced its most basic-generation spring mattresses using materials like solid mesh springs, snake-skin bags, coconut leaves, and gray silk—crafted through relatively rudimentary methods such as binding with thick iron wires, securing with hemp threads, and hand-stitching. Naturally, the handmade production process wasn’t very efficient. After 1998, Donble Mattress introduced new production equipment, switching to machine-applied perimeter steel frames and adopting automated edge-sealing and stitching techniques, thus kicking off a shift toward mechanized manufacturing.

In 2001, China joined the World Trade Organization, marking the beginning of rapid economic growth and increasing consumer demand for bedding products. Donble Mattress has embraced a wide range of innovative materials and technologies—incorporating natural latex, high-resilience foam, firm cotton, and even 3D materials—taking mattress manufacturing and materials to a whole new level compared to previous generations of mattresses.

The mattress manufacturing industry is continuously advancing, and mattress products must not only meet domestic industry standards—they also need to keep pace with international benchmarks. At Donble Mattress, every step—from carefully selecting healthy raw materials and rigorously controlling the production process to conducting meticulous final product inspections—is executed with unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

In 2010, Donble Mattress achieved ISO9001 certification for its quality management system; in 2015, it obtained China's Environmental Label Product Certification; in 2019, the company was certified under ISO 14001:2015 for its environmental management system and ISO 45001:2018 for its occupational health and safety management system; and in 2022, it earned China's Green Product Certification.

2023 marks the 30th anniversary of Donble Mattress, a company that has consistently delivered high-quality bedding solutions—among which the Finnish Three Generations model stands out as a true flagship product. This mattress features an enhanced quilting technique: instead of relying on glue for bonding, it’s meticulously hand-stitched, making it not only more eco-friendly and healthier but also perfectly aligning with today’s growing demand for sustainable, green products and the desire for a premium lifestyle.
