Get active, dance in Dongguan! On the afternoon of March 15, 2021, the launch event for the first "Dongbao Dream" Square Dance Friendship Competition was held at Wanda Plaza in Houjie Town, Dongguan City.

This friendly match was organized by the Dongguan Professional Committee of National Square Dance, with co-organizers Donble Mattress and Houjie Wanda Plaza. Attendees at the event included Wei Fangying, President of the Dongguan Square Dance Professional Committee; Zheng Gaoping, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Office of the China Cultural and Artistic Talent Bank; as well as dozens of other guests, including chairpersons from square dance professional committees across various towns and districts.

At the press conference, Ms. Wei Fangying took the stage first to deliver a speech for the "Dongbao Dream" square dance friendship competition, warmly welcoming and thanking the guests who had traveled from afar.

At the press conference, Mr. Chen Dequan, Director of Donble Mattress, took the stage to speak and provided an overview of the event. He explained that this square-dance friendship competition will be held in every town and district across Dongguan, aiming to encourage as many dance enthusiasts as possible to participate and ultimately promote nationwide fitness. This square dance friendly competition is also a charity event—there will be a public welfare donation box set up on-site, and Donble Mattress will donate a batch of bedding products to support the cause. Additionally, participants are encouraged to creatively choreograph their own dances inspired by the song "Dongbao Dream," with special recognition and prizes awarded to the best adaptations.

At the press conference, Tan Yunxia, Chairwoman of the Xiegang Town branch of the Dongguan Square Dance Professional Committee, and her teammates performed their original square dance routine titled "Dongbao Dream" on stage. With powerful yet graceful movements, they vividly captured the uplifting spirit embedded in the "Dongbao Dream" song.

Chen Dequan stated that this square dance friendly competition is a highly meaningful and positive event, aligning perfectly with the call for nationwide fitness initiatives.
