To implement the key directives outlined in the Municipal Government’s No. 1 Document of 2024, "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Advancement of New Industrialization and High-Quality Building an International Science, Technology, and Manufacturing Powerhouse City," Dongguan City launched the 2024 "Dongguan Excellent Products" selection event this July. The initiative aims to identify and nurture a group of Dongguan product brands that excel in quality, innovation, reputation, and profitability.

On December 27, 2024, the launch ceremony for "Dongguan Excellent Products" was held at Nancheng Dongshi C-Park. During the event, the first list of "Dongguan Excellent Products" and the corresponding group standards were unveiled, along with the establishment of the "Dongguan Excellent Products" Promotion and Marketing Alliance. At the ceremony, attending leaders presented "Dongguan Excellent Products" certificates to the selected enterprises. A total of 110 products from 90 companies were recognized as 2024 "Dongguan Excellent Products," spanning 20 categories of consumer goods, including food, apparel, furniture, trendy toys, and smartphones.
