In 1993, riding the wave of China’s reform and opening-up policy, Donble Mattress entered the bedding manufacturing industry. The company’s first-generation mattress, produced at that time, featured a spring core, gray fabric, and snake-skin bags—crafted using rudimentary techniques such as binding with thick iron wires and hemp threads, followed by manual stitching.

From 1998 to 2003, China's mattress manufacturing capabilities saw significant improvement, as mechanized processing technologies began to be adopted. Coconut fiber emerged as the industry's mainstream choice for mattresses due to its health benefits, durability, and low cost. However, its high hardness and lack of elasticity also somewhat impacted the overall sleep experience for consumers.

From 2003 to 2008, to meet the growing consumer demand, Donble Mattress replaced traditional coconut fiber with a more eco-friendly and health-conscious aerated rigid cotton. They also incorporated new materials such as high-density sponge and environmentally friendly white cotton felt, successfully developing a next-generation eco-friendly mattress that significantly enhanced both comfort and sustainability.
